Ace of Swords - Where Eagles Fly

My card of the day is the beauiful Ace of Swords from the Legacy of the Divine Tarot by Ciro Marchetti. It's not been long since I posted on the reversed Ace of Swords and how this reversal relates to healing and the human energy field.

The upright Ace of Swords points downward. Invoked divine energy is descending. The power is enormous. How will it be wielded? The sword has two edges. Will the sword bring peace or division?

The Ace of Swords is associated with the Element of Air and intellect, new ideas, creative thoughts and communication. New thoughts, ideas and ways of communicating will be prevalent today. This is a day to start planning ahead, because the brilliant ideas you have right now will bear fruit further down the line if you make the most of them.

I love the symbology of eagles circling around the Sword:

"Eagle represents a state of grace that is reached through inner work, understanding and passing the initiation tests that result from reclaiming our personal power." (Read more about Eagle HERE)

Astrologically, there is a lot of activity around Mercury, ruler of the intellect, today. Mercury trines erratic and innovative Uranus and squares dreamy and nebulous Neptune.

The trine is a supportive aspect and suggests that you seriously need to take that cool new thought and run with it. It will allow you to soar like an eagle! However, the square with dreamy Neptune is a warning that you might need the odd reality check to stay on your path.

I'm concluding this post by indulging in my fancy for eagles. Enjoy this beautiful track by Sarah Brightman and Manowar - it's called 'Where Eagles Fly'!

Fabulous blog Lisa. Just thought I'd share.. symbolically, Eagles represent the Higher form of the sign of Scorpio. The kind that rise above traditional qualities associated with Scorpio, such as vengeance, scornful, bitter, etc, and use their power not only in transforming themselves, but transforming the world around them.

Thanks, Zizi - I'm aware of the Scorpio connection... have to be really with a three planet stellium in the 8th House! ;) xox

Omg, seriously? 3 planet in the 8th?? Which ones and which sign on the cusp?

Sun, Venus and Mercury (all in Capricorn). Capricorn on the Cusp as well, with cusp ruler Saturn in the 11th House. What's going on in your 8th?

Wow... powerful planets there! Me? My 8th house has my North Node (in Taurus, with Taurus cusping it) and Chiron in Gemini.

The North Node sextiles my MC in cancer, opposes my Saturn in 2nd (Scorpio), and squares my Aquarius Mars in 5th. Chiron also squares Mars, but it trines my Aqua Moon in 4th.

Yes, my chart is complicated...lol.
